A little bit about the treatment…

Experience has shown that beginning treatment with the feet is the first ‘step’ you make in your recovery, simply because your feet are the foundation of your body. If you are building a house, the foundations need to be straight before you begin building. Once we have corrected any displacements in your feet, we can move on to correcting any inter-vertebral rotations in your spine. These rotations cause muscle spasms to occur which result in issues such as Frozen Shoulder and Sciatica.

Have you ever felt that some therapy doesn’t always last very long?

This is because the cause of the problem has probably not been fixed meaning the problem is likely to return. It could take multiple treatments before your vertebrae start to stay aligned due to a number of factors; your occupation, how long you have had the problem for and sometimes your age will affect your recovery rate also.

Once any inter-vertebral rotations have been identified and we have released the surrounding muscle spasm, your pelvis may be checked if necessary. Then, other areas such as ribs, neck and head can be treated if this is where your issue is.

It is important to note that this approach is always taken (i.e. we begin with the feet as this could be the original cause of your complaint and it could be unnecessary and unsuccessful to treat other areas if these are only secondary problems – we need to find the root of the cause).

Have you tried all other treatments?

This treatment is an alternative holistic therapy which has been used for 30 years. The treatment uses mobilisation techniques so there is no clicking or cracking and aims to get you better in as few treatments as possible meaning the cost will be kept to a minimum. There is no obligation to have subsequent treatments after the first consultation, however, some long-term complaints will naturally take longer to treat than short-term issues. Some people do prefer to have ‘maintenance’ treatments every month or two which is also absolutely fine.

It is important to note that this treatment can be painful at times and is by no means a relaxing treatment.

Self-care

It is always our priority to get you better as quickly as possible, so it is believed that the more a problem area is treated the quicker your recovery rate. Therefore, we may send you home with some self-care massages so that you are able to treat yourself effectively. This means that at subsequent appointments we will be able to spend less time on these areas and move on to other areas where necessary.

Bring a friend

It is always recommended that you bring a friend at least to your first appointment. A companion may be able to help you remember self-care or information or even be shown where to help treat you if it is a hard-to-reach area. As well as this, in the event that you feel slightly light headed after treatment due to the release of toxins, they are able to drive you home safely.

For your information

Please note when booking in, there will sometimes be a delay in our replies. This is because usually I am in clinic treating clients. Please try to email where possible as phone calls/voicemails are slower. Also, please note that there is a little wait for appointments, usually you need to book your appointments and follow up appointments in advance. Thankyou for your understanding.
